MAZI PROJECT
VOICE TO THE FATHERLESS
PROBLEM
Recent changes to foster care laws across Europe forced Abahouse in Thessaloniki, Greece to shift away from its long-standing model of directly fostering vulnerable children. Overnight, an organization built on providing daily support, stability, and care had to redefine its mission. As they transitioned into The Mazi Project—a new initiative focused on counseling, family support, food programs, community gardening, and outreach—they faced a critical communication challenge: how to clearly tell their story, honor their past, and show donors the essential new role they play in the lives of the children and families they continue to serve.

SOLUTION
We created a short documentary that captured this pivotal moment of transition—documenting Abahouse’s evolution into The Mazi Project and highlighting the meaningful, community-driven work now shaping their mission. Through intimate storytelling, interviews, and immersive visuals, the film showcased their new programs and the ongoing impact they have on children and families. This documentary became a powerful tool for The Mazi Project to share with donors, helping them understand the importance of continued financial support and enabling the organization to build momentum for its future initiatives.
